Fun shots Kristin! Sorry to be such a lousy blog friend this fall. Maybe the spring will afford me some extra time. Looks like everyone had a great Christmas!
Was at "no greater joy" and read your post about home schooling. I have home schooled for what seems like a lifetime. My children are turning 24,22,and 18 this Spring.(ouch that hurts-almost three graduated) We adopted our little one Summer 2010 and I was not planning on home schooling her. wink. I saw you mentioned that Kristin was struggling with math and wanted to suggest Miquon Math. Its using manipulatives- cuisinere rods and they are levels and not grades so a child can start whenever and progress as fast or slow as needed. I HIGHLY recommend it. Also a company called Timberdoodle has awesome curriculum to choose from. (many different learning styles and options for finding new products.)Sorry this is on your Christmas post
"To be certain of God means that we are uncertain in all our ways: we do not know what a day may bring forth. This is generally said with a sigh of sadness. It should rather be an expression of breathless expectation."- Oswald Chambers
I am a Northern Gal transplanted in the South for over 20 years now. I have a wonderful husband who is the best partner God could have given me. I have 4 terrific kiddos--3 born from my womb and one born in my heart through adoption. Join me as I chronicle our lives as newly adoptive parents and as we navigate our new normal of having 2 daughters with Down syndrome.
Beautiful family. Nadia is getting so big! Love this age:)
