Ah, the joys of paperwork. Thankfully I like filling out forms and because I'm also quite competitive I'm on a mission to be the fastest adoption ever!!! ha ha OK, I also realize that this is all in God's timing and that this is His child He is bringing to our family so I'm trying to maintain a healthy balance between the two. :) So, how many of you can remember all of the addresses you've had since 1975? I'm lucky if I can remember what I decided to cook for dinner on any given night so that was a tough one. Here is sweet Josi who prays every day that Nadia will come home TODAY! She's still not quite getting the whole lengthy process thing--which quite frankly I have a hard time with as well.
"OK, Mommy, I'm ready to help you fill out the forms to bring my sister home."Let's get started!"
"Are you serious? There are how many more forms to fill out?"
Dear Sweet Friend! Love the pictures of Josie!!! She is so cute. How exciting to see her love and devotion for her little sister. If only we ALL could love others with this pure heart! She sets the bar high on loving others as God would have us love others. Hang in there on the paper work.......see this as labor pains! (without all the postpartum stuff!)
ReplyDeletePerfect!!! Josi completely captures where we all have been! Hang in there Josi!
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to have my VERY OWN!!!!
ReplyDeleteSoooooo precious.
I'm with ya Josi! I want Nadia to come tomorrow too to get her out of that orphanage. It won't be too long though.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite pic is the 1st one! I love that smile! I love her shirt too! :)
ReplyDeleteKristin- I love these pics and captions of Josi! She is so beautiful and she is going to be a wonderful BIG SISTER!!!! I am praying for you daily. -Eleanor
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how well Josi and Nadia get along! Nadia is so lucky to have such a great big sister!
ReplyDeleteI remember when Uncle Mike said: Kristin, when are you going to Ukraine? And I was totally confused and asked why you were going to Ukraine and that's when I figured out you were adopting. At first I thought you were kidding, cause you said I could be the nanny,Then I realized you were serious.(about adopting, not being the nanny.)I will never forget that day. :)
ReplyDeleteBoy do I know the feeling!! If it had been up to me, I'd have the paperwork done and my kids would have been home in a couple of weeks. But, governments have a totally different mentality. Luckily we can lean on the one who's timing is perfect!
ReplyDeleteHoping you fly through the paperwork quickly so you can bring your sweet girl home!
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Leslie
Hope you can go through your paper work in record time!!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things I cannot remember BUT I do remember my old addresses and there have been quite a few!! Kind of silly- I have no idea why they stick in my mind?
Blessings on you journey!
Jean
Love all those cute expressions! The paperwork can be quite daunting. ugh. I cracked up at your comment about being competitive and having the fastest adoption on record. I can SO relate!!! For some reason, I put myself on some ridiculous time line to get it all done. The fastest one I ever did was for Jake. We already had INS approval, so I didn't have to do that--but I had to track down everything else and had to get it done in a week. My house was a total disaster as I did absolutely nothing but paperwork for a solid week. haha Most of the time, though, it takes me several months, and I have never had to do the Hague requirements. UGH. I can't imagine tracking down all those prior addresses. What a PAIN!
