After a long and disappointing week with more delays in our adoption process, the bright spot came in the form of a transformed room. Josi is very excited about sharing a room with Nadia and had lots of fun helping me pick out new bedspreads, paint colors, and furniture. So, without further ado (and since I'm trying to rush out the door to get to small group on time), here are the before and after pictures.
Thanks to my dear husband for working so hard to coordinate his efforts and those of the workers to make this room come to life in such a short time! I really needed to SEE some evidence that we truly are bringing home a precious child in need of a family and a room to share with her big sister!
(Thanks to Nicole for suggesting I get this on my blog--I needed the push after wallowing in self-pity most of the week-ugh!)

It will be here before you know it and I will not be able to talk with you as much and will have to come for another visit and sit on your back porch for some Kristen time! Love you and miss you more than you will ever know! Sue
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention what a terrific job at decorating this room. You ARE SO WONDERFUL AT SOOOOOOOO MANY THINGS!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe room is a very lovely girls room.
ReplyDeleteWill Nadia be able to sleep in a big girl bed? If you have not already gotten one you might want to consider looking into getting a baby bed.
Just a suggestion since she looks so small in pictures.
I will probably start Nadia in a port-a-crib because I know that's what she'll be used to. I'm also going to put a guard rail on the bottom bunk when we transition her to that bed. She'll be 2 1/2 by the time we get her home but I agree that she'll definitely need to start out in a smaller bed. :)

Love it!! the colors are awesome! my favorite!
