Raising Awareness

Below is a link to the Triangle Down Syndrome Network (TDSN) Newsletter where an article featuring our adoption of Nadia, as well as the adoptions of 2 other cuties with Ds into Raleigh area families, can be found on pages 8 and 9.  I love how God is allowing more and more coverage of Reece's Rainbow and the extremely critical situation of the Eastern European orphans with special needs.  Make sure you check out the cover page to see a picture of Andrea Roberts--the founder and director of Reece's Rainbow.

And in other VERY EXCITING NEWS...JOE PATERNO just won his 400th college football game to add yet another milestone to his infamous career at PENN STATE!!! (He is already the winningest coach in Division I Football).  And to think he'll be turning 84 in December!  Makes me think back to my post about acting your age.  You can read it here if you want to: http://seeingtheupsideofdown.blogspot.com/2010/04/act-your-age.html

CONGRATULATIONS JOEPA!

  3. Of course he's cute...He's ITALIAN!!! And yes, winningest is a word because I made sure before I used it in my sentence. (Old habits die hard for former English teachers!)

  4. I knew there would be dancing in the Ferguson household this evening:) Every football fan in America was rooting for Joe Pa (except Northwestern)!!

You all have accomplishments far greater than the ending score of a game. Look at how your little treasure has blossomed into a beautiful butterfly!! Hugs to your beautiful family!!
    P.S.
The cold is creeping in every so slowly...

  5. Whoa!!! Hold on...this football fan was NOT rooting for Joe Pa!! (Sorry). Of course my team doesn't know how to win so it could be jealousy :)
I didn't realize that our story was out already. I got my newsletter in the mail tonight when we got home from the picnic. I just loved reading the other stories!

  9. Acting your age is highly overrated. :) I used to be a big football fan but married a man who wasn't into football at all...so my obsession kind of fell by the wayside. :)
