Woo Hoo!! Congratulations Ferguson Family!! These photos have quite a story to tell!! Nadia sure does look happy!! It actually looks like she's posing in those photos! Watch out mama, you got a little cover girl on your hands!! Cannot wait to read about Nadia's homecoming and meeting the rest of the family!! Safe travels:)
So beautiful, your family is such an inspiration! Following your blog has been the highlight of my days, can't wait to meet her. The pictures are priceless! Congratulations! How blessed all of you are to have each other!
Nadia looks so cute in her Gotcha Day outfit :). You all look so happy! I can't wait to hear all the details of the day, about court, and how Nadia is doing outside the orphanage. Inquiring minds...you know what it's like :)!! CONGRATULATIONS, friends! What an awesome day!
I always need tissues when reading your blog! Those pictures said it all!!!! whooot whoooott!!!!! She looks sooooo happy!!! You all do!!! She must have been a little surprised with the car ride. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YEAH!YEAH! AND YEAH! She is all yours - signed, sealed, and delivered. Now we can't wait until you get to Raleigh. I know Josi can't wait to see her sister. Our prayers have been answered - 2 years and now you have the sweetest answer that God has given you and the entire family. I only wish you the next week of great memories and special times as you get to know each other and she is blessed in your hands. We love you and can't wait to have her in our small group family. We can't wait to hug both you and her and Jim and Allen and Michael and Josi - the complete Ferguson clan.
Thinking about you on the train right now..wondering how it's going. Toma didn't like the train at all.
When you get the packet of papers from the Embassy, make SURE you don't open it!!! Or don't let anyone, like at the airport, open it. It has to be UNOPENED when you get to customs in the US.
I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am for you. We are all happy for you and can't wait for you to get home with Nadia. I want to give you both a hug :)
Oh man, do I have goose bumps? Such a blessing! Words just can't describe, can they? She's so cute. God is so good, I praise Him for his calling. Can't wait to see her in person.
Thanks for the prayers for my Dad. They put a pacemaker in and he is doing well.
I love the picture of Josi on the sidebar, she looks so grown up.
Okay. I was certain that I was completely out of happy tears about Nadia, but apparently I had a few buckets left. There are few sights more beautiful than a child walking out of an orphanage with his or her mom and dad.
I'll never forget when I took Daniel out of his orphanage in Guatemala. He looked at the armed guard at the front gate and triumphantly announced, "I don't live here anymore!!!"
Thanks for sharing your beautiful journey with us. (By the way, you look gorgeous. Love is the world's best beauty secret.) Nadia's face when being held in your arms is just precious.
Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE that photo of the two of you looking into each other's eyes with big smiles on your face. :) So happy for you! Congratulations!!!
More tears, Oh I well I know that moment.....when you first lay eyes on your adopted child. No one can truly understand that moment unless you have been blessed to experience that joy! What a moment that must have been for you and Jim, to finally lay hands on her and know that she is leaving with you all!!!!!! Love it!
"To be certain of God means that we are uncertain in all our ways: we do not know what a day may bring forth. This is generally said with a sigh of sadness. It should rather be an expression of breathless expectation."- Oswald Chambers
I am a Northern Gal transplanted in the South for over 20 years now. I have a wonderful husband who is the best partner God could have given me. I have 4 terrific kiddos--3 born from my womb and one born in my heart through adoption. Join me as I chronicle our lives as newly adoptive parents and as we navigate our new normal of having 2 daughters with Down syndrome.
Absolutely awesome.
