Nadia didn't give us even a glimpse of a smile when we first met her this morning but it wasn't but a few minutes into our 1st official visit that she was smiling up a storm!
From what we can tell she is an absolutely delightful little girl with lots of personality!
This was her reaction when Jim tried to get her to stand up. She thinks it's hilarious!
Like I said, she'd rather be held than walk but we'll keep on doing a lot of holding and a little more "practice" walking. :) She still thinks his request is funny.
Michael couldn't wait for his first turn to hold his new sister. This morning was too rushed for us all to get our hands on her so now was his chance. He finally gets to be a "big brother" and he's very happy with his change in status!
Allen already has the oldest brother touch with Nadia (except for when she was licking his shirt and then he kind of said "ewww" and handed her back to me. tee hee.
For more pictures of the brothers with their newest sister, please check out their blog (but not too quickly because I'm not sure when I'm going to upload those photos--they have a new header picture, though)--"The Brothers' Blog" on my sidebar.
The long train ride and the busy day have taken its toll on this 46yr. old Mama, so I'm hitting the shower and then collapsing in bed. If you have e-mailed me and I haven't answered, it's because my e-mail program is only allowing incoming e-mails and not my outgoing ones. boo! Hopefully we'll get that resolved soon since we'll probably be in this hotel for at least 5 more days. Things move quickly in this region so we hope to have our court date by next Wednesday!!!
For the next few days we'll be visiting Nadia twice a day. We also hope to get in touch with a missionary friend of my parents, who has lived in Zaporozhye for 15yrs! That should be fun!
Good night from Zaporozhye!
Oh my, that's a sweet smile!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, sweet baby girl!!
ReplyDeletePriceless smile, and enjoying every bit of the love already! Yay!
ReplyDeleteAnd a baby girl makes it all complete (and pushes Micheal away from his baby of the family spot)... she is adorable and looks so much like a Ferguson already. I know it will be hard to leave her and come back and forth each day but remember that next Wednesday is just a short few days away and then you will get to start the journey as an entire family as soon as you get the girls together in PA. Josi will just eat her up and I can't wait to see them play baby dolls together in their new room. Let us know what you need for the return home and what date you think you will arrive in PA and the NC. Lots of prayers and love from Raleigh. Love ya, Jan
