Here are some shots of Nadia from our last visit earlier this evening. I just spoke with Marina and it looks like court will be at 10am and then she and I will run around most of the day gathering documents, etc. We will call Jim and the boys to meet us at the orphanage when we finally get to pick up Nadia!!!
Last good-bye hugs from her Mom and brothers.
Whispering a promise that we'll be back to get her tomorrow and take her with us forever!
Next post will be the long-anticipated "Gotcha" post. Can't wait!!!
We can't wait either!, The Fryes
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh I can't wait to read all about Nadia's Gotcha' Day....woooohoooo!!

How sweet!! These pictures are priceless. Yea for Nadia Ferguson day tomorrow!!
ReplyDeleteNadia is so pretty. That has got to be the most precious hat! It looks like something to wear for a baby dedication or christening. So beautiful! Congratulations on gotcha day tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteYAY! I am over the moon for you!!!! And how lucky you are not to have to do the whole "10 day" thing! I can't wait for the GOTCHA DAY post! :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you remember me, but I'm Christa Graham and you were the nursery dir. for BSF many years ago and I was one of your nursery workers (along with Patrice and Sharon). Oddly enough, I saw your picture on Adeye's blog (found her blog recently) and thought you looked familiar.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, we adopted a 12 year old girl from Ukraine last summer. Oddly enough, from the Zap. region, but not Zap. Kristina is from Berdyansk, south of Zap. and on the Sea of Azov. Our process was a very difficult one, and took us almost 4 years to get her home. We spent 2 months there last summer finishing the process while I was in the last trimester.
Reading your blog is a pleasure. I am so happy that you will get to take Nadia with you after court tomorrow. Kristina was never allowed to leave the orphanage with us (except to go to the home of the orphanage doctor).
So glad to have found you again. Blessings to your entire family.
Christa
Yay! I'm guessing that you got the 10 day wait waived?
ReplyDeleteYay!!!! I absolutely ADORE the last picture of you two. I also love the ones with the boys too, just something magical about the last one though. Miss you terribly, excited that you will be able to officially leave with Nadia soon. If all goes smoothly tomorrow, when does that put you back in the states? I miss you!
ReplyDeleteYay, Nadia you're coming HOME!!! Cannot wait to read about it:)
ReplyDeleteNadia is sooooo beautiful!! I think you must have won the contest for fastest pickup in UK!! :) I am not believing how fast your trip was!!! Our family is also from NC and we are hoping to bring home Anastasia M.!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of all of you. Nadia is so beautiful! You should send some of those pics-especially that last one of you and Nadia to Andrea. She sent an email asking for pics. It's a great one! Can't wait to read all about Gotcha Day tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteWords can't express the JOY!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics!! SOOOOO ADORABLE!! Praying everything goes well with the adoption! Can't wait till the gotcha post!!
ReplyDeleteI can not get over her beautiful blue eyes and her sweet little lips, begging to be kissed :) she is so precious . I am so very happy for you all.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with court tomorrow! We adopted Dylan (Vova - age 5) from this orphanage in December last year. The hours following court where crazy - but Morena is wonderful and can pull off amazing things! We were able to finish up the same day and boarded the train at 7:30 pm that night after picking him up! Tell Morena the Bergmanns say hello and that Dylan finally got to meet Mickey Mouse earlier this month! We will be hoping everything works out and can get finished quickly for you, as it did for us!

ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious day it will be to take her in your arms and know you'll never have to say good-bye. Happy almost Gotcha Day!
Much Love,
Kathie
Praying for a smooth day!!
ReplyDeleteHaving the blessing of FINALLY having time to go back and read and look at your posts, one thing is for sure: Nadia looks SO MUCH HAPPIER now than before. She looks great in these shots, but I can tell that SHE KNOWS NOW that she is with her family!
