Life On The Outside

Hello out there.  No internet once again in Kiev so we're at TGIF trying to get caught up.  Here are a few pictures of Nadia's first 24hrs. on the outside.  She's discovering quite a few new things like...

...air conditioning!

...being allowed to lay down on the floor!

...eating one small spoonful at a time instead of gulping down large quantities.

...taking her first bath.  OK, she didn't like the bath nearly as much as snuggling in the towel afterwards.

...having her hair brushed lovingly by her new Mom.  This girl LOVES to have her hair brushed!!!

...taking a nap on her own schedule and in a cool, comfortable room.
Life on the outside is pretty good so far.

We have our embassy appointment on Monday at 2pm and then we will need to be at the airport for a 5:30am flight early Tuesday.  We appreciate your continued prayers as we finish the home stretch of bringing Nadia home!  She is such a joy and she has seemed to adjust to life with us quite effortlessly!!!

  15. We can't wait to meet her in person. We will be praying for lots of great times with Nadia and a wonderful and stress free trip back to the US. I can't wait to see Josi holding her in her arms. We will be praying non-stop for everything to go on schedule. Love the picture of Nadia in her towel. I wonder if she has ever had this much love and attention and she is truly drinking it in and loving every minute of it. Yeah Ferguson family - only one plane ride away from us.
Love you guys, Jan and Jeff

  16. WOOHOO!

How does it feel to have that little girl out of an orphanage and in your arms?

All that you had hoped for. The days of waiting and longing are now over.

Praying for a smooth, uneventful, boring trip back for all of you!

God has been so good to pave the way for you and make your path level and smooth! May He continue to show such mercies!
